The production process of stainless steel coils mainly includes steelmaking, hot rolling, pickling, cold rolling, annealing and other steps, and finally the coil production is completed by flattening and trimming.
Stainless steel strips are made by adding other metal elements inside the steel to change the internal structure, so as to achieve the effect of rust-free. This practice of adding elements makes stainless steel have excellent corrosion resistance and can resist weak corrosive media such as air, water, steam, and chemical corrosion such as acid, alkali, and salt.
Stainless steel coil is an extended product of ultra-thin stainless steel sheet commonly used in the industrial sector. Produced through hot or cold rolling, it takes the form of a standard narrow, long steel plate, typically no less than 600 mm wide, with no surface coating. Its thickness ranges from 0.03 mm to over 10 mm. Based on the processing technology, it can be categorized as hot-rolled coil or cold-rolled coil. Cold-rolled coils offer higher precision, with the thinnest reaching 0.025 mm.
Stainless steel coils are corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant. Through annealing, pickling, flattening and other processes, they can achieve different hardness (such as 3/4H, HV100-580) and surface treatment (2B polished, brushed, mirror, etc.) [3] [5] [8]. The product materials cover a variety of stainless steel series such as 304, 316L, and 430, and comply with international standards such as GB, JIS, and ASTM. They are used in industrial fields such as medical devices, automotive parts, architectural decoration, and electronic components.
